HOA LU - TRANG AN GROTTOES (FULL DAY)
Highlights:
Spend the day taking in the outstanding natural beauty and historical significance of northern Ninh Binh Province. In the ancient capital city of Hoa Lu, explore the enchanting tombs and temples dedicated to our Kings. Next head to Trang An, an area that is often referred to as “Halong Bay on land” and explore the stunningly statuesque geological formations that dot the landscape.
Itinerary:
- Around 8 am: Our tour guide and driver will meet you at our hotel lobby. You will then get on a journey of about 100 kilometers to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of the Dinh and Le dynasties dating back to the 11th century. In Hoa Lu, there are now 2 temples have been built on the ground of the old royal palace, one is dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang, the other is to King Le Dai Hanh. This visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties in Vietnamese history, as well as the old feudal architecture of Vietnam Temples.
- 11:30 am: Leave Hoa Lu to Trang An Complex at around 12:00 pm. Having lunch in a local restaurant nearby (you will have a chance to try goat meat which is famous as the local specialty)
- After lunch, board a small boat and meander lazily down the peaceful river while passing through a series of caves. While enjoying the sounds of soaring birds overhead and paddling along the crystal-clear waters of the river, jagged limestone hills jutting skyward out of electric green rice paddies will be sure to bring out the photographer in you.
- Around 4 pm, you return to the pier, where our driver will be waiting for you, to drive back to Hanoi.
- You will arrive back to Essence around at 6:30 pm. Tour ends.
